HOW FUTSAL DIFFERS FROM FIVE-A-SIDES:

UK-STYLE FIVE-A-SIDES	FUTSAL
Five players on court – limited substitutions	Five players on court – rolling substitutions
No byelines or sidelines, use of walls or rebound boards, ball constantly in play	Touchlines and byelines used. Ball returned to play via kick-in, corner-kick or goal clearance
Only defending goalkeeper allowed in penalty-area	All players can enter penalty-areas
Height restriction on ball	No height restriction on ball
Low and wide rectangular goals	‘Squarer’ goals (3m x 2m)
Felt ball often used	Regulation Futsal ball: Size 4 with a low bounce (30% reduced)
